Realtors with an attitude... What's your opinion?

Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Pinnacle Group

Over a 22 year career as a full time realtor I've noticed the attitude of realtors really seems to be going downhill.  My thought is, most of them think being tough and strong in dealing with other realtors and clients works.  My experience tells me that it doesn't work.  It amazes me how many agents really believe negotiations should always go their way.  Negotiating works best when all parties are satisfied.  A win/win solution where all parties negotiate honestly has always worked best for me.

What is your experience?

Jim McCord You are right on track with this post. So many so-called negotiation experts need to understand that there can be a win-win in every situation. Further, they need to realize that when considering the future, they may be on the receiving end of unreasonable demands. Be civil and work to keep everyone in the transaction. Failure and the ultimate result of walking away from a deal may NOT be in the best interest of the agent's client.

I fully agree with your observations. One of the most difficult aspects of the real estate business is dealing with some of the agents.
