Traveling is such a fun thing to do. Traveling in an RV across the beautiful United States of American is a wonderful experience that far too few people get to experience. Many people across the country plan cross-country trips stopping to visit monuments and mountains throughout this beautiful territory knows as the United States of America. However, not so many people as planned it actually get to take that trip.
A couple years ago, my own parents were getting ready to retire. One of their dreams was to travel from sea to shining sea. It was a beautiful spring day when my sister and I met our parents at their home and we went motorhome shopping. How fun that was! So many options to choose from. Do you want gas or diesel? How about a Class A or C? Do you want slide-outs? Do you want a table with a benches or a table with chairs? Do you want a bed above the driver’s seat? One or two bathrooms? And the list went on. They all smelled new and clean.
The next step was to see if they would be comfortable driving it. Both my mom and dad drove a big 36 foot rig in the parking lot. That is all it took to declare that “This is Easy!!”
Last step was negotiating… Uh oh, these things were expensive! Where do you pull the money from? Do you pay cash? Do you set up a loan? Do you pull equity from your home? Do you take money from your retirement? After all, this is your retirement, you should enjoy it!
So many people stop right here because they do not realize that a Reverse Mortgage is even an option.
The proceeds from a Reverse Mortgage can allow a senior to travel in their retirement. Purchasing a beautiful coach with the Reverse Mortgage money might be a good option.
