Two Tools you might want to use that have really helped me are GetClicky and Flickr.
Here’s why?
Yesterday was the Spring Practice game for the University of Michigan football team, known at the “Maize and Blue” game. I went and took my FlipVideo camera. Last night I posted it up on YouTube and blogged about it on my Ann Arbor Real Estate Talk blog.
GetClicky is a service that tracks who is looking at your blog, where they came from and most important what terms they are searching for. Today I went into my GetClicky site to check out my stat’s and to my surprise I was on page 1 , number 3 with Google for the search term Maize and Blue Spring Game 2008. I was also on Page 1, number 5 for my Flickr photos I took at the game.
This is also the event that Missy Caulk & TEAM were the sole sponsors for and my attempt of thinking outside the box.
Now why am I excited about this?
There are many blogs in Ann Arbor and many about the Wolverines. The fact I could come up on Google that quickly before many others is amazing.
I honestly don’t think this would have happened without doing a video of the game. Even more reason to listen to the AR dudes who have been promoting using videos. I just ordered the Mixpo last night on PayPal to start using it for the many applications that come with it instead of just the FlipSoftware. Bob Stewart posted on Getting Started with Mixpo.
Here is the screen shot I captured using Screen Shot, a Firefox extension.
If you want to see the video I put together of the Maize and Blue game, it is located on Ann Arbor Real Estate Talk.
The photos are at my flickr account.
