A Probate Hearing and a Weird Request
A court date was scheduled for a probate issue related to a property on which my buyer clients have an accepted offer. My client and I decided to go to the hearing in person.
As we walked down the hall, some ladies commented that they liked my hair. "Thanks!", I said. They asked what color it was. Chestnut? I said I wasn't sure, but that sounded like a reasonable guess.
My client and I were waiting outside the courtroom and overheard the ladies continuing to talk about the color of my hair. They were discussing whether or not they should ask me if they could take a picture. They weren't exactly whispering, so my client and I walked over and asked if they wanted a photo of my hair.
They exclaimed "We were just talking about that!" They snapped a couple of photos of the back of my head and then my client and I stepped into the courtroom.
The probate was approved. After some procedural items are taken care of, we'll be clear to close escrow in June. It ain't over 'til it's over, but it looks good for my clients who have been patient beyond measure.
Happily, there's light at the end of the tunnel. My nice clients can't get into their Laguna Niguel home soon enough!
