I am an experienced Palm Springs, CA. realtor..and I LOVE checking in and updating myself on other areas of real estate and also other areas of the country.  Love me my AR!!

Having information like this is very helpful when trying to make the case for participation and membership on AR, Kerrie La Guardia ... it hard proof regarding the VALUE to be found here.  The Midwest region needs to hear and see your message ... and starting blogging more!

That said, the article seems to have had a bit of a pre-agenda ... proving that somehow agents wanting to make money for their work is wrong.  I've usually found that people that write these industry articles have little real knowledge or understanding of what they write or how the industry itself works.  If they were going to use Tammy Lankford's post as a springboard to showcase their opinions ... would it have been out-of-line for them to include the link to her post?  That way their readers could have read the article in its entirety, been informed, read all the comments made, and formed their own opinions on the issue ...

Many realtor move on when their commission split was better.  I personally do not like the idea that brokers tell you we offer the best split and gave the most training or leads in effect they were not...

Well, congrats to them for being mentioned, but I didn't care for the article and even less for most of the comments that followed. Not sure I'd want to be mentioned in an article like that. Oh, and I've never heard of us being called "realty agents" ever in my life. Oh well. And what Gene Mundt, Chicago-area Mortgage Lender - www.genemundt.com said, too!

AR is getting attention as a professional site.

Congrats to Tammy! There have been a few times where we have been quoted. In fact 2 weeks ago a loan officer told me that one of our AR questions was quoted in the Chicago Trib having to do with short sales.

Oh that makes me happy. Love that some of our own on in the spotlight for their contributions we get to see every day.

Ken Harney is a terrific writer, and fortunately he is still at the Post.  Most of their experienced writers took buyouts and were replaced by very recent J-school graduates.  

Alos, getting picked up by Ken is totally cool because he is syndicated all over the country - so waty to go, Tammy!

It's refreshing to be part of a predominately US based blog although I am in Sydney Australia, I am learning from everyone all the time so thank you to all the active rainers, where ever you are

You just never know when something that you write for AR will be used by a major publication! So cool for those mentioned.
