Meetup for real estate professionals in Oakland CA.
Got together with another Rainer and two friends at Miss Saigon Vietnamese Restaurant in Oakland CA. It was a nice afternoon. We sat at a table overlooking Grand Ave. There are lots of people walking about. It's a good place to people watch.
Miss Saigon has some of the best beers on the avenue. They have a larger beer selection than the bars. I was surprised that they had one from El Salvador. Don't see too many of those except for Salvadorean restaurants. Mike and I, we had beer. The ladies had wine. There was cobra wine but they didn't want to try it.
We talked about 203K loans, Mike Young's favorite topic. Actually, I learned a lot about these loans. There are many opportunities with 203Ks, and most real estate agents don't know about them. Most 203K lenders can't tell real estate agents what properties can use them. I'm going to make some money with what I learned.
Michelle Lang, broker for Four Seasons, wanted to know about mold remediation and we told some stories about mold. Question: "How can you tell if it's mold or dirt? Put a drop of bleach on it, if it changes color it's mold." See my AR post about mold. In Oakland, Purofirst is someone to call if you need someone for fire, smoke, water damage, mold abatement as well as other casualty damage without spending hundreds of dollars.
My other friend was Barbara Pitts from Bershire Hathaway Drysdale Home Services. Maan, I thought that Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate was a mouthful.
We had a great time.
The next time I have to take photos of the ladies. Mike Young's photo appears first.
