Take a look at these very encouraging statistics from The Ocala/Marion County Association of Realtors’ regarding the housing market for Marion County, Florida.  

In a report released yesterday, the median price of a home in Marion County in April had an increase of approximately 20 percent over the same month last year and sales were up by more than 11 percent

It's all about balance.....Supply has dropped and demand is there..... the report for April indicates the median sale price of an existing home was $111,500, up from the $93,000 reported a year ago.

Realtors reported the sale of 599 homes closed in April, up year over year from 538.

Meanwhile, the months’ supply of homes on the market in Marion County fell by one entire month — 6.3 in April, down from 7.3 a year ago.

A supply amount of 5.5 months indicates a balanced market favoring neither buyer nor seller and creating favorable conditions for new home construction.
