Foxes in Glacier View Meadows this Memorial Day Weekend

By
Real Estate Agent with United Country Ponderosa Realty, Red Feather Lakes, Colorado

I had a showing yesterday morning and on the way back to Ponderosa Realty in Red Feather Lakes, CO.,  I encountered a wily little fox in Glacier View Meadows. Glacier View is a mountain subdivision about 35 miles Northwest of Fort Collins Colorado.  I stopped and fumbled to find the camera just as the fox moved further away- I thought I missed the shot!… but then he paused, sat down and stared right back at me.

After we gazed at each other for a few seconds, he stood and walked into the grass and that’s when I saw there were two!

It was a great day with multiple offers on one of my listings. I went to the craft fair in Red Feather Lakes Village where I found a new pair of earrings and a great closing gift; never mind that my husband says my new earrings look like fishing spinners, I think they’re pretty. They’re made with antique trade beads.

There was no rain yesterday, which was a nice reprieve from the rain, fog and even snow that we have had since April, and I got to share a few moments of silence watching the foxes in Glacier View!

I hope you have a good Memorial Day weekend, and at the very least remember to pause in honor of the families who mourn and those souls who paid the ultimate price, for us.

"The National Moment of Remembrance encourages all Americans to pause wherever they are at 3 p.m. local time on Memorial Day for a minute of silence to remember and honor those who have died in service to the nation.

Mary, what a joy to happen upon these beautiful animals!    Your earrings sound perfect, and sure wish we had not seen rain yesterday - 3 separate times, and more today and tomorrow!   So over it!

Hi Joan, I am over it too! Coloradoans are simply not used to doing without sunshine!  I think it makes people cranky :-)  Thanks for stopping by today,  I hope the weather will clear soon.

Thanks John, Glacier View is really beautiful,  I appreciate that.  Have a great weekend John!

I've only seen a few foxes in the wild.  Some on a trip to Canada.  I always enjoy seeing wildlife.  They probably watch Fox News.

You're photos are the best.  I see a lady shelling peas in the first one and a chicken leg in the second one.  I love the fox looking right at you in the first one too.
