Time for Pause and Reflection

Today, we pause and reflect upon the freedoms and amenties we as Americans enjoy, only attainable by the sacrifices, made by our military.

We simply do not say THANK YOU, enough, to our men and women who have served our great nation!

May we never forget our fallen heros!

On this occassion, I would like to share with you, one poem that speaks to my heart and adorns many a

memorials.

Poem:  For The Fallen, (4th stanza, written by Lawrence Binyon - 1914)

"They shall not  grow old, as we that are left grow old.  Age shall not weary them, nor the years

contemn.  At the going down of the sun and in the morning....We will remember them"

What a wonderful tribute, Peggy.   55,000 lost in Vietnam.   10 times that many in World Wars I and II.   And so many, many more who gave their lives in Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other parts of the globe.

    We will never forget them!

It's awesome that you "Get" the true meaning of Memorial Day.  I cringe when people say, "Happy Memorial Day" - it's not a day of celebration, it's a day to honor those who gave their life for our freedom. Thank you so much for recognizing that!

RESULTS THAT MOVE YOU!

Your not alone... military service is very much the fabric of my family for more than 30 years.  I have supported both my husband and son during many major international deployments...it is a way of life!  Constantly praying for their safety and protection.
