Area photos Idaho- Here we have Idaho

By
Real Estate Agent

Hi

Just joined the group. I live in Idaho Falls, and have a license to sell real estate in Idaho and Utah.  Right now I am using my Utah license to sell real estate in Vernal, Utah. I thought I would share some pictures of Idaho. These were taken in November when we went to cut a tree. They were taken in the Targhee National Forest. This area is beautiful in every season. There is great camping, snowmobiling, hiking, skiing, and of course tree cutting. It is near the Palisades Reservoir were there is boating, fishing, and water skiing.

Here We Have Idaho is the Here We Have Idaho is the title of the state song.

WOW! These are fantastic photos! I would love to visit this national forest! Your last photo is exactly what I think of when I think of the ranching/cattle portion of the West! Thanks for sharing! you may want to check out the photography group here in the Rain as you obviously have an eye for it!

Thanks. I love to take pictures. My kids think I look like a tourist wherever I go. They tease me about the many pictures I take of my granddaughter too, but when they see the pictures they want some of them. I am going to put some pictures of Mexico, Hawaii, and Florida on the blog soon.

The clouds made it a wonderful photo opportunity. I probably took 300 or more photos. Then I cropped and edited them all. I like to take several pictures because you never know what you are going to get home with and you can't get the opportunity back. With several of the same spot you are sure to get one that you like.

These are lovely, Julie. I have lived in SE Idaho for 9 months, and have yet to see these areas. You have sparked a desire in me to visit them.

I am not an agent, but a real estate photographer, so pardon my asking, but how do you manage to live here and sell Vernal Real Estate? That just sounds like a lot of driving.

Thanks for sharing!

Susie, my children work for the airlines so I fly back and forth to Vernal. It would be a 7 hour drive otherwise. I spend about as much time in the airport, but it is cheaper than gas and easier on me. Sometimes I can sleep. Not too much on the flight to Vernal because it is a 19 passenger plane and at times is a bumpy ride. Spring tends to be a more turbulent time. Do you get concerned about posting your photos on the internet. I was a little because I may want to do something with my photos sometime. I do not want to give my rights to the photos away or to have someone take them. I have heard of people losing theirs on myspace and they had to start watermarking them. I don't know how to do that.

Julie,

I don't think I would ever post photos to myspace or even flikr without a watermark. I don't post too many here. Photos of my kids are another story. I am pretty careful about those.

Watermarking is really quite easy; do you use any editing software like photoshop? I really think it is a good idea.

Here is a tutuorial for a PS watermark:  http://www.candeekis.com/pswatermark/pswmtut.html

I wil have to take a look at that further and see if I can figure it out. I will have to go through the steps one at a time. Is that a program you use or do you use something on photo editor. I didn't see anything on my photo editor but i may not have the right edition. Thanks for the information.

OK Julie now you just have to add this post to the Your Area Photo Contest.  Your photos are fantastic!

I have been doing real estate in Vernal so I didn't add my Idaho pictures to the photo contest. Maybe I should since I have a license in Idaho too.

I love misty mountain photos...I missed an opportunity the other day because I was driving to see the in-laws, but I really wanted to pull over to take some shots of the mist in between the river valleys.

I had hoped for warmer weather to get a Christmas Tree in, but the clouds were a great photo opportunity and we were not in any hurry.
