Northern Virginia's Top Ranked Schools

As a young working professional, I have not yet entered the world of "Parenthood".  I am, however, surrounded by colleagues, friends, and clients who are part of this highly esteemed "club", who would do anything for their child's education and future.

I get this question all the time from my clients and friends with children, what are the best schools in Northern Virginia? Where can they get the best education?  Who has the best sporting programs? While I can't personally tell someone what the best school is or give my biased opinion, I will say that it has been noted that Northern Virginia has Nationally Ranked schools according to U.S. News and World Report.

Fairfax County, is a district that stands out in my mind when I think of top-notch academic achievement and awards.  Fairfax County Public School System contains 30 high schools, 3 secondary schools, 23 middle schools, and 196 elementary schools.  It is the largest school system in Virginia, and the 10th largest in the United States.  This district contains 14 high schools that have received gold, silver, and bronze medals in the U.S. News Best High School Rankings, with the prestigious Thomas Jefferson High School of Science and Technology Nationally ranked #3.  Fairfax County boasts an average on-time graduation rate of 91.3% and an average SAT score of 1659.

With that said, as your local Realtor, I understand the importance of finding your perfect home in a great school district, luckily, living in Northern Virginia, you have plenty of great options.
