By
Industry Observer

So I got the approval from the Arkansas Real Estate Commission to sit for my Real Estate Exam!

I am awesome!

All I have to do now is pay the $75 to take the test and pass and I will have my license and can launch my career into the wonderful world of Real Estate!

I am so excited!

Now I have to study up really hard this week so I can pass the test!

Stay tuned for the "I PASSED" post!

Wish me success!

Best of luck to you Susan!

Can I make one study suggestion?  Take the practice exam in your book and only study the things you miss. Then take it again, and repeat. If you are passing with 80% of them right you are in good shape, but shoot for 95%.

Darrel: Neat that we have the same last name! That is exactly what I have been doing! I find that works best for me. No need to study what I can recall without thinking too hard!

Jason: Thanks buddy!

Good luck.  Don't miss any.  I think that thinking about the test was worse than taking it... of course, now I wonder if I could pass it cold.

Susan: My grandmother has a saying about a man with the last name of Davis that used to make my grandfather just give her a look. I still dont quite know the story but she always said:

If he is a Davis, he is GUILTY.  ;)

Darrel: I would have to say that saying holds true! My ex is totally that on a number of things! I only keep then name because of my sons! I hope the saying doesnt go any further than father though!

Sheri: Thanks! I have waited a long time for this!

Melody: I dont want to have to take a bunch of potty breaks though!

Kent: Thanks for the comment! I am amazed at how many people drop by to support me in this!

Lane: That is exactly how I felt about taking the class! I am really not TOO worried about the test.

Lynda: Thanks so much!

I appreciate all your support!

Susan - I echo Darrel statement on taking the test exams.  If you can do it with a group of people from class and quiz each other, even better (That's what I did).  Look for the people who are always talking in your class and asking questions.  BTW - are you going to do mortgages and real estate?

Bo: Yes, I am a licensed Loan Officer and have worked in the Mortgage industry for 3 years. The office worked for had to close due to the PMI guidlinmes because the owner is a Real Estae agent and we could not do FHA loans. So it put me out of business. I have always wanted to be a Realtor and I felt this opened up the opportunioty to go to school and get licensed. I will probably have to work some sort of part time night job to keep me alive for awhile but I am willing to do whatever it takes. If I have the opportunity to do the loan for my clients also, I will surely do it but if it isnt in their best interest, I will hand it off.

Laura: Thanks so much!

I appreciate your comments!

Best of luck in the real estate exam.  It has been so long since I had to take it, I can't remember much except that it took about two weeks to find out if you passes.....and you couldn't use calculators!  When I took the broker's exam I knew as soon as it was over that I'd passed.  Things change!
