One of my FAVORITE blog topics to share is something that is near and dear
to my heart … local small business profiles.
Coming from a family of small business owners,
I always appreciate finding a local provider who OUTSHINES his competition.
So, today I am featuring a rising star, Garrett Aulabaugh of Old Market Forge.
Old Market Forge is a Boulder, CO based company that specializes in working with both new AND reclaimed wood and metal to create beautiful masterpieces. Their furniture pieces are truly divine and their custom home installations, such as this AWESOME “Bubble Railing” are out of this world.
OMF’s most recent project? An 11 foot outdoor picnic table made of solid Beetle Kill Pine (from Tabernash, Colorado), complete with rectangular steel tubing legs, and steel bolts for height adjustment. With an ebony stain, and marine grade Spar Varnish, this picnic table will surely leave its new owner wanting to spend every moment gathered outside!
Garrett, having just finished this exciting new project, answers the question … WHY? WHY DO WE BUILD?
“… Because we know that a piece of furniture can inspire, it can comfort, it can provide a foundation to feel good from. We build because we care. We believe that good quality furniture, furniture that is built of heavy wood and metal, well, it anchors our soul. It anchors our way of being. It anchors our home.”
Speaking from personal experience, Garrett is a true craftsman and nothing short of a perfectionist. His communication is on point and if you hand your dream to him, you can rest assured it is in good hands.
As summer is fast approaching, be sure to head over to the Old Market Forge website to take a look at some of Garrett’s projects,
and of course, give him a call to place your custom order today!
If you have an idea, odds are, he can make it happen.
Outdoor seating for your home oasis?
A timeless wedding gift perhaps?
A spruced up piece to bring new life to your office or home?
The possibilities are endless.
OMF deserves an OMG!!!
