My Sensei / Grasshopper is You!

I have been reading a lot of these posts and they actually support something I have felt for quite sometime. And if I'm going to be honest, my ActiveRain Sensei is...All of You.  I am your grasshopper. 

Let me explain. 

I have found that the #1 benefit to my ActiveRain account is what I gain from the knowledge and experience of all of you.  Not just from reading the daily posts, blogs, questions, etc. Yes, those are awesome and I can always count on something that makes me think. 

But my AR family is who I look to when I am looking to understand something better. Here are just a few things that I have researched the archives as well as the current posts to answer ideas, study what others have done, find inspiration, you name it...

* Direct Marketing Ideas (thanks Sensei to the masses Barbara Todaro )

* Using video in my business & blogs

* Tips / tricks / advice for clients

* Creating online marketing materials

* How to on computer or Activerain site

I also love posting a question in the Q & A to get the various perspectives. Most recently the answers to my question on "If you could give one piece of advice to new buyer what would it be?"  Not only did it lead to a great blog post but I think it showed how great minds think alike. And I like to think our combined efforts will help a few home buying grasshoppers. 

So when I think who is my Sensei it is all of you!  You are the ones I turn to when I need to research something. It is you I use when I want to pick some brains on a topic or problem. It is you that I know has a collective perspective that will help me take my business to the next level. 

If you ever have a question or maybe you are looking to start something new in your business, look no further than your AR Family. Even if you don't feel comfortable with picking up the phone, you will be amazed how much information these folks have put on here in the past and continue to expand. 

By the way, never underestimate when you will be some other grasshopper's Sensei. The stuff you post may not make a splash today but odds are if someone is looking up that topic they will find you. It might be phone tips, computer tips, marketing tips, video tips, staging tips, you name it. I have found some great stuff written as far back as 2009 or 2010 that was still relevant. 

Keep it up and wear both hats!  While somedays you might be the windshield and somedays the bug....here on Activerain...
