Mother's Day Should Be Celebrated Every Day of the Year
Mother's Day is celebrated in the United States on the Second Sunday of May yearly. This year it was celebrated on May 10th, 2015 so most were buying flowers, gifts and taking their mother's out for a nice dinner to celebrate her day.
I personally think we should celebrate our mothers every day. We wouldn't be here if she hadn't given birth, protected and nourished us as babies and toddlers. And who made our lunches every morning to take to school in our lunchboxes, who cooked dinner every night and who yelled at us to get out of bed every morning to get dressed for school and come eat our healthy breakfast. Who took us out for a new Easter outfit yearly and made sure we posed for pictures plus who made sure we had our prom dress or tux rental. And who gave us the emotional support when our hearts were breaking over a lost love or a bad grade at school. And finally who pushed us to get an education and grow up to be a productive citizen and give her a grand baby to love and spoil.
We went to visit my kids in Philadelphia and had a terrific visit. We saw all the sites and had a nice brunch on Sunday at a terrific restaurant that had burned down last year and had recently reopened. I wanted to visit in May as there was a Craft Fair in the city Funny thing, I did not buy anything at the fair but enjoyed the sights.
Happy Mother's Day every day of the year. Love her and thank her for all she has done for us.
