Thinking outside the box

Interesting topic Karl.

I have nothing against "motivational trainers/speakers and I sure you are excellent. I've attended several my self and still have the cassette tapes on the shelve with noway to play them. However, there seems to be an abundance of folks wanting to teach us how to be successful beyond our wildest dears. Many of these specialists say they were complete failures in business and now want to show me what not to do.. Others say they have made
Gazillions using their techniques and want to share their secrets. Why don't they continue making gazillions and the hell with the rest of us.

Great observation Bob... as you can clearly see on the post, it is clearly a reference to a podcast that I did... not a "sales pitch."

However, the truth of what you are saying is not lost on me... The reality is, there are far too many people out there who are "Teaching Programs...not skills."

The honest answer to your question is multifold.

One... I teach because it gives me satisfaction to know that I was able to create a business that allowed me to generate 75 transactions a year with only one assistant.   That enabled me to have a life that I enjoyed very well.

However, there is something also to be said about how we choose to #PayItForward....  in my circumstance, I have always made it a point to repay those who have taught me my sales skills to others as a method to increase the professionalism of our ranks.

Through my YouTube Channel at SellMoreHomesNow, I have over 70 videos of free information about how to List, Sell, and Price homes.

On my podcast The Red Pill Investor, I have over 420 episodes of free education on how Investors and Realtors® can use sales skills to enrich their lives, as well as help their customers.

In The Ultimate Sales Pro System, I am sharing with people concrete, workable ideas that I used to create a business that allowed me to have the time to write and share.

For me, that is what I love to do.  I love to teach, I love to share, and I love to sell real estate.

It just so happens that I am REALLY friggin good at all of them.  I can't fix plumbing, or rewire a house, but I can write, and I can speak.

My thought?  If I share just ONE good idea that will help someone build a team so they can spend time with their family and make an extra buck in their pocket by helping a family in their town... then that's ok with me.

In this podcast, and in these blogs that I've mentioned, I share with you how to do this free.

Sure, I could say "The hell with the rest of us..."   However, that is not being honest, nor truthful to those who gave me this wonderful gift.

I guess it boils down to what you believe Bob.  If you believe (as I do) that sales is an ART form... not a thing you "do to people" then you will naturally agree with me that one must be TAUGHT to paint.

You didn't learn how to paint on your own Bob.  Someone taught you.  Either you are self taught, and are a Van Gogh in your own right.  In which case... awesome!  Just don't cut off your ear.

For the rest of us who need something a little more "fill in the blanks" then a free podcast or blog will usually answer the question.

If on the other hand, you are the type that wanted to take your "art form" to the next level and you had some level of base proficiency, then you might take the next step to hire a professional coach.

That only comes however, if you have the basic skills required.  It's true... you can't paint lipstick on a pig and call it beautiful... much like terrible sales skills will not get better without assistance.

That is why I spend the time.  That is why I don't worry about making "gazillions".

I want to make sure you don't have to SPEND gazillions like I did.

If that's not ok with you, and you want to spend the money... no problem!

You don't have to listen!
