Buyer Demand Exceeds Housing Supply, this is an easy one to talk about.
I woke up this morning knowing I should write a blog before I head out the door, but what was it going to be on? So I decided to make some Kona Coffee, and read my email ------ Like angels coming down from the clouds, there it was, this info-graphic on how housing supply is low, and demand is high - great topic. Well to make my job even easier, a few emails down, was a comment on an a 6 year old blog of mine. So curiosity got the best of me, I followed the link over to this old blog, to see why it drew some attention - 6 years down the road. The blog itself was OK, but in it, was this statement about the housing market, and where it was back then.
"What is fair market value when you 848 active listings, with only 13 sales last month?"
So lets take a look at today's market
"591 Active listings, and 100 sales last month (April 2015)" -
I don't think you need me to tell you, this is a huge difference!
Here Are Some Highlights from the mainland :
- Inventory Levels are still below the 6.0 month level necessary for a normal market
- Home Prices have experienced year-over-year gains for 38 straight months
- Home sold faster than any time since June 2013, in just 39 days
