Getting Your Pool Ready For Summer

You can hire someone to come in and maintain your pool if you want to or you can do it yourself.

It is easy to find the supplies you need at you local pool supply company.  Some hardware stores even carry pool supplies.  Wallmart usually has the basics of eveything you need to get you going.

If your pool has been shut down all winter, the first thing you may want to do is check and make sure your equiptment is in working order.  If eveything checks out good and there are no leaks or weird noise coming from your pump, check your water quality.

Testing your water is a vital and important part of maintenance.  You can buy a kit to check the cholrine level and the Ph and adjust them as needed. The PH level should be between 7.2 and 7.8, and the chlorine level should be between 1 and 3 ppm.

If your PH and your cholrine are good, Hop in!

These are great tips, I appreciate you sharing them.  I don't have a pool myself, but the majority of homes in Arizona do or so it seems.

This is good information for pool owners.

I am glad that we do not have this worry. We could reach the community pool in about two minutes since it is only a block away.

Captain Wayne,

A pool requires a lot of work and getting it ready for summer does take time and effort. We have a pool guy who handles it for me. good post..

I don't currently have a pool, Capt Wayne.  But, I've always found it much easier to let the professionals care for it when I did have one.
