June's ActiveRain Contests Are Here!
Last month I was largely MIA in the rain & missed out on some great contests, including a cloudburst that I was sure I'd get done! Thankfully, June brings us another cloudburst amongst some other really cool contests.

Think you can write 20 blogs, leave 125 comments, make a few phone 
calls, and teach us a few things about your area and technology all by June 30? I think you can, and if I'm right, the AR point patrol will reward you with 3000 big ones to be used at the ActiveRain points store, whenever it opens.

Summertime Special Contest
Debbie Laity invites us to exchange some info on our homes in exchange for some AR points and quality SEO. Similar to the 'show off your home' contest around the holidays, this contest asks us to use some pictures and tell the world about the place you call home - whether that's through your actual home, your community, or the surrounding areas. Everyone should love where they live - tell us why you do!

"5 Reasons" June Contest
Speaking of loving where you live, Ron Marshall wrote a post back in the winter time sharing why he loves where he lives. He had such great feedback that he decided to invite us all to write a similar post. So put together a post with 5 things that make you love where you live - include some links, pictures, and helpful info for anyone that stumbles upon your post. What's your reward? Well, SEO for one. If you need more, 1000 ActiveRain points are also up for grabs if you follow the rules

One of my favorite things about ActiveRain is learning about the different communities around the country (and also about our friends up in Canada, eh?), so it's great to see 2 contests that allow us to put the spotlight on our homes & communities this June.
If you don't normally participate in AR contests, why not give it a shot this month? They're a great way to move up the points leaderboard (or stay atop it for all you millionaires out there), learn about other AR members, and have some fun. Even better, the contests (especially cloudbursts) are a great way to stay consistent with blogging, and get into a habit tha will surely lead to more business.
Wondering where you can find these contests on your own aside from when they're featured on the home page? Go to Resources-->Groups-->ActiveRain Contests. They're updated each month, usually on the 1st or 2nd of the month - and be sure to check early, or else miss out when the 30-in-30 contests pop up!
