Pay It Forward Wednesday

I recently attended an event in Denver called “March Against Monsanto”. For those of you that don’t know who Monsanto is (and without getting into anything too “deep”), it is the primary corporation responsible for GMOs, chemical warfare compounds (agent orange, etc), and much, much, more. Now, during this event a large collective of people, myself included, marched the streets of the city capital in protest of some of Monsanto’s practices. While of course, I do support the change bolstered in these peaceful protests, and of course I did find it extremely beneficial to be a part of consciousness expansion, ultimately this “march” reminded me once again of  what I see as some of the true problems in our society.
erin
As we were marching, asking that our food be returned to a more natural state, we walked through numerous crowds of homeless people. Homeless people who were looking at us from a state of hunger, for any food. This site, these eye contacts made, caused my heart to swell and I could not help but to feel saddened, and outraged. Outraged … at the disparity between the rich and the poor. Outraged … at the social injustices that likely help put and keep many of these people on the streets. Saddened … at the lack of regard society in general has for the lives of others.

So, today, Pay it Forward Wednesday, I would like to ask all of you, to take moment of pause, look at everything you have to be grateful for, and consider those less fortunate than yourselves. Now, Pay it Forward, to them.

Whether we are sending them a prayer for healing, an energetic thought of love, or physically going out and taking action, we must … Pay it Forward.

Through the collective sharing of our Heart, may we raise the vibrations and as such, the conditions, of our home, Earth.

May those in need, those less fortunate than ourselves,
be showered with
good fortune and divine healing
.
May we use our powers for good.

pay it forward

I thank you, in advance, for your kindness and your generosity.

Terrific post.  I thinkwe can thank Dr. Oz for actually making people aware of what is happening.  I just recently heard from a friend who spends winters in Hawaii that Monsanto is the largest employer on the island now.  GMO.

Erin, I pray that the grass roots awareness of what this chemical company turned chemical food company purveyor will be so loud that it will be forced to pull back on its products. Europeans look at us and shake their heads - so many of the foods people are unknowingly feeding their children are banned in Europe. We watched the Documentary 'Fed Up' and committed to a more Paleo, organic diet. I would march in a Monsanto protest. I think what they are doing is absolutely evil in the name of profits. Thank you for posting this.

Erin...Monsanto is the devil.

That being said people on the left or right should not be surprised by Hillary Clinton bowing to this giant...MONEY always wins elections.

Marching against Monsanto is awesome. It's so sad that not to long ago in our history everything was organic, just sad what we consider food now days.

I like to donate all my money to various animal non profits, animals that have been abused, saving the bee's, sad elephants, etc.. What I have done before is offer a homeless person I talked to a job, some of these people are hard workers that just need a chance. Not that many years ago, when starting out in business I spent a few nights without a place to live after 4 evictions in a row. Every dime went into the business making it work, learning everyday, hopefully it's something most people dont have to go through, but it was a learning experience in itself. The rewards are worth it if persuing your own business, and when I come across someone with that drive, it is easy to help them change their lives.

Wow - I am loving all these comments. To think, I ALMOST didn't mention Evil M in my post because I wanted to focus on the social inequalities that are causing homelessness to rise higher than ever before.

BUT ... I am sure glad I did. We all need to be aware of the issues going on and I think that, although there have been protests against Monsanto for years now, people are starting to wake up no, en masse. Something that may have started out altruistically has been corrupted by greed and money, frankly, just like a lot of other things in our world today.

We all need to bind together, take a stand for ourselves, our children and future generations!

Annette Thor - you know what they say ... the BIGGEST business in the entire country is cancer. It sounds awful to even say that, but, the truth hurts. You are right, they do have divisions that sell products that cause cancer and then of course divisions that sell products to "treat" cancer (ie: kill off every cell in the body in hopes of taking the cancer out as well). Of course there is no metion by them, of the idea that cancer cures have already been found - that would be too much of a money loss. Not to get "too controversial", but once medical marijuanna became legal there were reports all over about the wonderful medical benefits INCLUDING cancer treatment. Not 30 days after the legalization, Monsanto applied for (and received, of course), a patent for specific strains of MMJ. WOW.

Chris and Dick Dovorany  - thank you for coming by! Those of us that have been fighting against Evil M for a long time now are surely grateful that a "big name" such as Dr.Oz has come out and taken a stand. In fact, there are close to 150 other "big names" including politicians, scientists, and doctors who were very public about their disgust for M and the ramifications of continuing down this path ... unfortunately, all of them have died. Unexpectedly.

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 www.SpaceCoastHomesNow.com  - you are 100% right. I like to call them the Evil Shroud of DEATH! Oh man, there comes my dramatic side (but true). I cannot say I was overly surprised, just disappointed, to hear that Hillary was in bed with them as well. Of course it is all about money hungry living. The good news is that the Earth is shifting, the masses are awakening and the corruption (turned into drone-slavery) is being exposed and will not long stay standing.

Nicole Doty - Gilbert Real Estate Expert  - congrats on your blog by the way!!! Yes, it was a wonderful event. In fact, on the same day, every single state in the US had a march planned at the state capital. In fact, every single continent had events hosted as well with HUGE turn outs in Europe and Africa. AZ had one in Pheonix, Flagstaff, Sierra Vista, and Tempe. The problem, in my opinion, is that here in the US we are kept "in the dark" about these types of events because bringing people together for a greater good can easily cause civil unrest and that is something our gov't certainly does not want to deal with.

Stefan Winter - WOW! Your story is an inspiration. It is wonderful to see that you did not allow resistance to stop you on your path. You obviously took charge, kept a positive attitude, and rose above. How cool! And I love that you offer a helping hand, a way for someone to get their life back on track. My uncle was homeless for a number of years and he told me it was one of the hardest lives. Also, really loving that you are taking care of the animals and the bees. I am still working on moving into a more vegitarian lifestyle, because while I do not necessarily think we are not meant to eat animals, I do think that we are meant to HONOR the animals we are given by Mother Earth, and that, as I am sure you know, is the last thing we do today.

Erin Bates - Thank you. Small steps help, I probably will never be a full vegetarian, I try to cook at home mostly that way but eating out I'll go to a nice steak house. The only thing I try to do is buy the meat from local farmers where the animal had at least a somewhat happy life. The factory farming has gotten out of hand and is just sad.

I think anyone can get out of  a bad situation, it's just a feel a lot of people do turn to alcohol or even drugs when times get hard and that just makes everything worse.

I also agree that Monsanto is the devil, and I do not support GMOs, but I will vote for Hillary and don't hold it against her that she hired a former Monsanto lobbyist. We all have a job to do. Good for you, marching, and even one better, for taking a public stand.
