Old world architecture vs new.........
The South Florida area has many many mansions fashioned in the era of the 1920's and 30's. You see their exquisite attention to details in every aspect of the design. This particular ceiling that is approximately 14 feet high features native cypress (no longer available). The wrought iron chandelier may have been painted white recently but the detail is still there. Notice the placement of the small porthole window, this was designed to focus eastern morning light directly onto the crystals of the chandelier-who even thinks of such details now?
Did I make my point in 100 or less words?
