Are you waiting to get you Kids started at Summer Safety Town? Here is the schedule
2015 Safety Town Program
Safety Town is a safety education program offered to Avon Lake residents entering kindergarten. Children will not only learn how to protect themselves from strangers, but will meet the people who provide safety services to our city. A staff consisting of two certified teachers, one adult and several youth helpers from our community will be present daily to help the children learn about important safety issues. Each day the children will spend part of their day outdoors learning how to stay safe in a miniature town that includes crosswalks, traffic signals, and sidewalks. They will ride around their town on kit cars with supervision from our staff. Classes are restricted to a maximum of 30 participants. The strict class size limitations have been set in order to efficiently run Safety Town so that each child benefits from the training. Each safety town session runs for one week, two hours per day.
