It is all about the right relationships" is a phrase I have heard for years in real estate. And it is. The benefit and the challenge in this day of electronic everything is that your potential sphere is so vast it can seem overwhelming. This week Joe Petrowsky of Right Trac Financial Group, Inc. confirmed one of the best methods of developing "the right relationships".
So how do you work the right relationships? Many companies and individuals will reach out to you, how do you select who will not only benefit your business? How can you be an enhancement to them? Most important who can you trust? It is all about the right relationships.
We all have been encouraged to join different communities, LinkedIn , Facebook, ActiveRain, just to name a few. There seems to be a new forum every day. Which one is worth the time and effort. With each one being dynamic you have to interact daily to keep and build the right relationships. If you work all of the venues you would not have time to sleep much less benefit from whatever relationships and contacts you might make.
Joe Petrowsky and I met here on ActiveRain. watching each others blogs. He is in the mortgage business ,an obviously essential component of the real estate business. The other day he had customers who expressed an interest in possibly owning property in the Caribbean. Joe reached out to me and put me together with his customers, building the right relationship. I reached out to his customers, now potentially my customers as well. While they may not be ready to buy tomorrow, their dream is growing and taking shape, and eventually will become a reality.
While Right Trac does not yet write mortgages in the Virgin Islands, Joe is licensed in 8 states. I do have customers who either already have homes on the mainland who may need refinancing or they have friends and relatives who move to the mainland and will buy property there and will need mortgages. Reciprocity is essential to buildig the right relationships.
ActiveRain seems to attract not only professionals essential to the real estate business but my experience has been, really nice people you will like, so you are able to build real relationships as well.
