Do you ever wonder what can happen in real estate in 7 days? Today I got a call about Santa Fe? They wanted to know what happened in our local Santa Fe real estate in the past 7 days. They believed looking a real estate stats in a 7 day time stretch was a good indicator about what to do next. This is what I reported happened for land, home and condo properties in Santa Fe County, New Mexico in the past 7 days from today (June 7, 2015).
73 new properties arrived with prices ranges $72,800 to $2,971,000;
78 properties had price changes with price ranges from $59,900 to $1,995,000.
283 properties are currently under contract in price ranges from $59,000 to $2,995,000
55 homes were SOLD price ranges from $65,000 to $2,050,000
I think 7 day time stats give some indication of activity in the market. The trend I see is our inventory contines to remain low given number of homes under contract or sold in past 7 days vs new properties on the market. In your experience do you see any value in this data snapshot? What is your take?

Frankly Debbie, I was surprised to see the numbers confirm why many of us are seeing a shift to a seller's market in some price ranges and neighborhoods. People clearly want to move. BTW congratulations on your move.
