Has Your Face Book Been HiJacked?
Is it my imagination or does it seem to you Rainers that Face Book members have been hacked a lot here lately?
Just last week a Realtor instructor that is a favorite of many REALTORS® contacted me, asking for me to befriend her. I thought that was rather odd as we are or were friends.
Not thinking more of it I went ahead and befriended her again. Then the messages started coming in. She asked me how I was doing. That was odd as we rarely talk but do refer clients to each other. So I said I was fine and then she asked me if I had heard about something Obama had done. I knew right then that this was not her. I quickly text her a cell phone message and waited for a response. After 15 minutes of no response I called her.
She answered and said she and was not on Face Book this particular morning and was no longer a Face Book user. As it turned out she knew that someone had hijacked her account and had and was sending horrible messages about her to all her family members and some of the Realtors that she deals with. I quickly sent out a message via cell phone text to others to watch out for this occurance.
Then today... another old school friend of mine text me via Face Book and ask me to not send her any of my political posts. That was strange because I don't write or respond to political posts at all. I have sent her a message through LinkedIn since I don't have this persons contact info.
I hope Face Book fixes this soon.
