If I say Grand Canyon, most people will know what I am talking about. If you come to Arizona on a golfing weekend, to find a golf course, NO PROBLEM! Arizona has 19 beautiful casinos with directional billboards everywhere. If you need a hospital, pharmacy, grocery store or mall, any passer-by could possibly direct you.
But what about the things you need for daily living? Things such as a barber shop, hair dresser, instrument repair shop or local jazz club. What if you would just like to know the best place in town to get a fish sandwich or where the locals go to eat and watch a football game?
This is what the Relocating to Arizona (Inside Arizona) blogs are about.
Arizoma consist of 75% of people who relocated and 25% native born. Therefore, it is safe to say this information will be helpful to those who will relocate in the future.
Arizons's most precious resource is water. In my home our drinking water preference is alkaline, the higher the PH levels the better. Many people choose purified water, the lower the solids the better.
After several enlightening conversations with Ann and Phil Lee, the owners of Water and Ice, I decided to tell their story.
Phil and Ann relocated to Arizona in 2005 from up state New York. When I asked the reason for their relocation, their answers were the job market and the business opportunities here in AZ. After relocating they decided to open Water and Ice.
A very unique quality about this store is that they sell purified ice. (How cool is that?) Have you ever given thought to what type of ice goes into your drinks?
They also have the old fashioned type of ice cream counter. They serve ice cream, smoothies and snow cones with dozens of flavors to choose from. They also sell many gift items such as personal water bottles, bisphenol a (BPA) free containers and beautiful ceramic water dispensers.
To understand the pricing take a look on Instagram at the pictures taken at a local grocery store. A gallon container of alkaline water that claims to register 9.5 is priced a 2/$7, $3.79 each and $4.49 each.
At Water and Ice the alkaline water normally test between 9.5 and 10.0 and cost $1.00 per gallon. The purified water normally test between 6.0 and 6.5 and cost $0.30 per gallon. The Lee family will test the water whenever requested.
Phil, Ann and their store, Water and Ice are true assets to the community.
