Austin City Limits Festival Rentals

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with National Event Rental

ACL Fest is still over 5 months away, but with the release of the lineup tomorrow, its time to start thinking about renting your property for that weekend in late September. My company, National Event Rental, specializes in short term event rentals by providing a listing service for specific events, two of those being ACL and SXSW here in Austin.

We have 2 general types of people that list for these events: the ones that own vacation properties and rent them almost year-round, and the ones that offer their primary residence in the hopes of making a quick and usually high income for a weekend. To the latter, listing services that charge an annual fee do not make much sense due to the property being available for only 1 or 2 weeks per year. To the former, we offer a way to target your property directly to the festival patrons for what usually ends up being a highly lucrative rent in a relatively short time. With a greater number of interested people exposed to a property, higher profits often result.

We market to our renters from the very beginning of their search. For example, we recently secured a link from the ACL Festival web site under "Travel, Hotels, and Camping". For anyone traveling to Austin for ACL, this section has a very high probability of being their travel starting point.

What has your experience with ACL and/or SXSW rentals been in the past? If you're a Realtor or property manager, do you have an easy time attaining both renters and landlords? What problems have you run into? If you're a do-it-yourselfer, have you wanted to list but been scared off by not knowing exactly what rent-by-owner entails? Are there services that you'd like to see provided?
