The Carlsbad Beach Fest 2015 is Saturday June 13th
Do you need something to do in the Carlsbad area this weekend? How about spending some time at the beach?
The 8th Annual Carlsbad Beach Fest happens along a 1-mile stretch of beach just south of Carlsbad Village, from Frazee Beach to Tamarack State Beach.
The 2015 Carlsbad Beach Fest, managed by the California Beach Foundation, is all about coastal and environmental stewardship, community awareness, education, and public outreach that will include a huge beach clean-up in 3 shifts, from 8 – 10, 10 – 12, and 12 - 2.
The Surfrider Foundation, I Love a Clean San Diego (ILACSD), and San Diego Coastkeeper will head up the beach cleanup efforts.
You’ll find a host of exhibitors where you can learn more about environmental stewardship and what you can do to help preserve our coastline, beaches and ocean. There will be plenty of fun, too, with music, food, water activities, a competitive run, plus sport competitions and clinics, and sand sculpting.
The Carlsbad Beach Fest has been a tremendously successful event for 7 years, and always attracts a huge crowd.
Read more and register for the sporting events in advance at the Carlsbad Beach Fest website.
