Joust Fest Texas held at Great Southwest Equestrian Center Katy TX

The Great Southwest Equestrian Center located on Mason Rd. in Katy is the site of the Joust Fest Texas which is an International Jousting event. It will be held on Friday June 12, 2015 and Saturday June 13, 2015. A International Jousting event is what I would call a truly unique and cool local Katy event to attend this summer.

There will be numerous activities to entertain the audience including five live joust events, knowledge courses, foot battles, special appearances, exotic animal educational program, Q & A with performers and much much more.  

the fun begins each day at 9 AM with a Q & A session with the Knights and ends on Friday at 8 PM and Saturday at 9:30PM after a live horse sponsorship auction.

Proceeds raised benefit SIRE Therapeutic Horsemanship, an organization which assists individuals with special needs through horseback  riding. Great organization to support as I believe special needs people of all ages do not receive enough attention or proper funding. horses are exceptional animals.

Ticket prices are adult one day pass $25 per person; Children under 12 years of age $10 per person and children 2 and under are free. A one day family pass is $65 and includes 2 adult paseses a nd child passes. A two day family event pass is $150 which includes 2 adult passes, 2 child passes and VIP parking pass.

This event is an opportunity to see live jousting plus view and learn about many different things. I know there will be beautiful horses on hand for all to see and enjoy.

The Great Southern Equestrian Center is located at 2501 S Mason RD Katy TX. 77450 with phone being 281-578-7669. Equestrian Center is very close to some of of the older Cinco Ranch neighborhoods and is easy to get to from anywhere in Katy or the surrounding area.
