 JP Finance Authority Down Payment Grant Assistance. 

This program helps communities and individual. The Grant Assistance allows individuals to own real estate as oppose to renting. Building communities will and does help reduce crime. The Grant Assistance does not have to be paid back. The amount varies from 3 - 4% in down payment assistance. 

 

Grant Money for Down Payment Assistance is currently available. Here are a few requirements:

  • Minimum Credit Score 640
  • Eligible to purchase a residence anywhere in given parish
  • Income requirement $69,000 maximum
  • Single family home
  • Eligible Loans: FHA, VA, Rural Development

Frank Rubi, MBA - That's really valuable information for buyers.  Realtors  and lenders ar often unaware or uninterested in working with these types of programs.  Good for you for differentiating yourself!

As a side note, I prefer the type of assistance that requires repayment because people often don't view the gift of assistance as they should.
