Edmond Historic Preservation, Is it Worth it?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Edmond

Is Historic Preservation worth the hassel of meeting both the City and National requirement?  The property must be converted from a residence to an office in order to receive 20% state and 20% natonal tax credits.  Once it meets the requirements for the tax credits, it then becomes eligible for the National Register of Historic Preservation.

Is it worth it? Depends on who owns the property and what their intentions are, I guess.

Depends on who lives in the immediate neighborhood, I guess.

Other than that....I really don't know.
