On a recent trip to the United Arab Emerites, my wife and I had the privilege of staying in what can only be described as an oasis, in the middle of the Liwa Desert in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. You can reach Qasr Al Sarab by flying into the Abu Dhabi International Airport and either drive to the resort, or have a driver pick you up. As an alternative, you can fly to Dubai and spend a few days exploring that fabulous city where among other things you will find the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa and Palm Jumeirah, a massive artificial archipelago in the form of a palm where for a modest sum, you too, can own a piece of the palm. From Dubai, you can then either drive to the resort, or have them pick you up.
