Does painting make a difference when selling?

By
Home Stager with Renaissance Home Staging & Redesign

Does painting make a difference when selling?  I think so.  I also think the days of "Swiss Coffee" are over!  Nothing is worse than a cold white wall.  Bold colors are out!!!  -- and softer subtle shades of gray, tans, and greens,..or even blues, can make a huge difference in how a buyer will connect.  So, does painting make a difference when selling?

If a buyer wants move in ready,  Does painting make a difference when selling?  It will reduce the anxiety of having to do the job, find a contractor, and move their furniture around.   It's one less expense for them, and it sets you apart from the competition.  Ever notice how the builder models are painted?  So, does painting make a difference when selling

Color is powerful thing.   It draws people into a property,..or it can make them run.  Renaissance Home Staging has had to work with some very dark colors recently.  ...  Knowing that, we adjusted our staging to  actually make the colors more dramatic, and, classic.   So, does painting make a difference when selling??It should be a softer color, and  it is a must have for many buyers.   --Even if they say it isn't.

It sure does, especially if there are a lot of marks on the walls before painting, it can make a huge difference.

And if you decide to sell a house  vacant, you had better paint.  Buyers will only have the walls, the carpeting, windows and closets to look at.  And they will notice if the house has been treated badly by the sellers!

Many women can't leave their house without some makeup on..but then could care less about the painting of their house when they go to sell it?   Ahhh, sorry darling, but I have a saying "Selling houses is like a room full of women,.. and the best looking ones get the most attention!"
