The Book Club I just joined had me reading this great book called Go For No. YES is the destination NO is how you get there.


This book discusses the one road block in sales; which is the word NO.  Like I have told many people before, "Go ahead and ask! How many times has "NO" killed you?" The concept of this marketing technique is to gather many nos so that you can succeed by reaping a yes or two along the way. 


At first I was confused but then I got the jest of the whole thing. It is a great idea and I think the competitiveness in us will want to gather as many nos as we can. Thereby winning with the yes's that come our way.


I must say that I enjoyed it better than the book we here on Active Rain raved on entitled, "The One".... The one thing that makes it for each of us. I think it must be gathering nos. I must say this book was more enjoyable to read than The One. 


I hope you give it a chance and read it. I purchased it on Kindle and was not too expensive.

I feel there is way too much hype about the ONE thing. That's just me. People tend to jump on the next band wagon that rolls through town. I am not one of them. NO pun intended.

Yes I agree with you Kathleen Daniels way too much hype on the ONE. It was a very hard read for me. I felt like the author kept beating the bush with what he exactly wanted to say. However, I wanted to give the author a chance and gleam something for my monies worth. What I understood in the end was find that one thing that works for you and work it. Ugh okay....

 Lenn Harley  I really connected with Go for No book and it did inspire me to make those calls to my SOI and see if I could apply the Brian Buffini question....Oh by the way...

Donna Foerster yes I can see where your comment is coming from. What I did was take my SEO listing and just went down the list calling with the pretense to update my address book. I needed to do that anyway...so it wasn't that much of a pretense!

I remember a saying: '' a NO is just a Hello!'' or something like that. I'm not afraid a rejection, but sometimes it is coming in a way, you just do not want to go that person way again...ever.
