Our area offers all the amenties that any true outdoor lover would go crazy over.
Plenty of local hiking trails to explore including 165 miles of the Cohos Trail System; which covers from southern Crawford Notch in the White Mountains National Forest, throught the Great North Woods, all the way to Pittsburg and the Canadian bourder.
For the water enthusiast we have several Lakes , Ponds, Rivers and Streams to cover just about any water activity including water skiing, so whatever your water passion is this area has you covered . The Northern Forest Canoe Trail is in our back yard and connects the waterways of New York, Vermonth, Quebec Cananda , New Hampshire and Maine.
Into motor Sports? Then come and visit the Ride the Wilds interconnected trail system that is expanding all the time and currently has close to 1000 miles of riding stemming for VT , NH, Maine and Canada. Don't forget to be active in your local club The North Country ATV Club for extra events and group rides. Groveton is also home to Speedway 51for race fans with plenty of action happening every week check out the schedule.
In the winter months we have an extensive snow machine trail system, as well as lots of places to cross country ski, ice skate, go slidding, ice fish and several ski resorts are within an easy 45 minute ride or less. Truly in the heart of the north country.

Why do I love this area so much... Forests, Mountains, Wildlife, Natures beauty is all around. The people who are freindly and will always lend a hand. The activities that are near by to enjoy without spending much if any to participate in. Hiking trails are close and easy to get too. I can just walk out my back yard and be connected to several miles of forest trails to hike and explore. I can't say enough about this place I call home, I never left for long just college and a couple years after. Then I was lucky enough to return to the area and I am forever greatful.
