Services for Real Estate Pros with Jessica Cates Creative

Tracking expenses is a tricky endeavor for real estate pros. For one, your income is extremely variable, which makes it challenging to manage and monitor finances. It also makes it much tougher to save for a rainy day when you never know with absolute certainty what's coming down the pipeline. Luckily, there are lots of great mobile tools (and powerful apps for real estate pros) that simplify the process.

Here are 3 great options:

Mint:

Mint provides you with tools to help manage your spending, budgeting, earnings, and investments by syncing your accounts to your mobile device. This free app has a lot of great tools and it's free!

I still use mint, it is a good app to keep track if you have multiple accounts. The others seem like great way to stay on track for saving!

I guess I am a decade behind the times.  I track expenses and bills and such on a spreadsheet.  I also check my bank accounts on line.

Kim Higgins & Associates - I use Mint and Credit Karma and really like both of them. It's just a nice way always keep an eye on your finances since you can add things like student loans, car loans and retirement accounts. It also really helps with budgeting because it gives nice visuals on where your money goes. My Starbucks wedge is always a little larger than it probably should be... :)

I am leary of "free apps" since if it is free you (or your data) is the product.  However, I will still check them out, thanks for sharing.

Jim Paulson - agreed. In this case, I know that Mint and Credit Karma are free because they advertise credit card and loan offers within the app. That said, in my opinion the ads are pretty unobstrusive and the value of the service is worth having to see an ad from time to time. In fact, I actually ended up looking into one of the savings account offers they posted and found one that has a great APY and am now making money off my savings!
