The 3rd annual Warriors On The Water fishing tournament comes to Lee & Chatham counties this week. This is a day to say "Thank You" to our men & women in uniform. Many of our servicemen & women have served in Iraq & Afghanistan in the Global War on Terrorism. This day of recognition will be a small way to say "Welcome Home" & "Job Well Done" to our military heroes. Our servicemen & women will be paired with experienced bass anglers for an exciting day of trying to catch lunker bass from Jordan Lake located south of Raleigh, NC. Local businesses have eagerly stepped forward to provide trophies for the winners plus prizes & food to make for an unforgettable day! Blast off is Friday April 18th @ 7:20am, weigh in is from 2:00-3:00pm, 3:00-4:00 awards & prizes, 4:00pm-until is pizza & social. Boaters will start arriving in town Wednesday, so when you see them out please be sure to acknowledge them.
