Introduction to Guitar Playing| Cinco Ranch Library Katy| June 20, 2015
Cinco Ranch Branch Library which is part of the Fort Bend County Library System will host a free introductory program titled “ Learn the Basics of Guitar Playing” on Saturday June 20, 2015. The session starts at 2 PM and ends at 3 PM. The class will be held in the meeting room 1. I have to say I have never heard of a free introductory session to play the guitar and I know there will be a lot of interest from young and older folks.
Library staff member Adam Kiskinis will conduct this session. He will concentrate on an overview of guitar playing, anatomy of a guitar, tuning a guitar, chord structures and will provide attendees with a list of online resources available to a beginning guitarist.
The program as I said above is Free as are all as are virtually all the sessions held at the library. It is open to the public and is for adults.
It is recommended all attendees bring their own guitar.
This is a very cool class for folks to attend and start the process of learning to play a guitar. If I had any music ability ( I don’t have any) I would definitely attend. I love listening to good music played by real musicians who actually play their instruments and not music created by a computer.
