I have seen ethics stretched like taffy as I traveled through the Real Estate industry over the years. I have seen it up close and from a distance too. Wherever there are large sums of money to be made or handled, human nature is put on notice. Either we help steward it along or help ourselves to it and get stewed!
EVERYONE GETS CAUGHT INSTANTLY
The minute someone crosses over into the dark realms of doing or getting something at all costs, they have been caught right there and then. Whether or not it becomes public or not is another matter. But the error is instantly revealed in the moment within the self. Conscience is activated like it or not
DENIAL WORKS BUT DOESN'T HOLD
Human beings know right from wrong. They pretend otherwise using denial but it doesn't hold. Trying to make it a gray, explainable item requires so much energy and maintenance that it quickly becomes self-evident that too much effort and over-response says this wrong can never be right...if we listen
TO AND FRO THIS LITTLE EVIL GOES
The 'battle" takes place within the self. Temptation is presented and if one dwells on it, it is taken as permission to come closer-quicker and it will. If one sees it and then handles or dismisses it, it goes on its merry way looking for someone else to beguile. Good riddance and thank you
THIS IS POWERFUL STUFF
There isn't one person I know of that when caught in their own web of intrigue and nonsense doesn't regret the whole fiasco to begin with. The jails, courts and hospitals are full of people who lost the battle in the moment and are fighting it or answering to it afterwards...true woe here
GO YOUR WAY, I'LL GO MINE
I have met unethical people in different circumstances and they are not pleasant to be around or know. In fact, my contact is fleeting as oil and water do not mix. We both get it and move on. I don't judge anyone for dabbling in their worlds, I just monitor my own as they do. We all should take note here
I WOULD NEVER DO THAT?
There is a subtle little unknown test that makes the rounds that takes one by surprise. Its the people who say they don't do this or that but they have never been tested for the subject. The true test is being exposed to the temptation, feeling the push and pull of it and being able to break free. Test passed!
QUICK, EASY AND FAST
What keeps the ethics subject in the limelight so to speak is the fact that it is so easy to cross-over and tell yourself no one will ever know. But if you KNOW you did it, then it is instantly disproving that thought or belief right there and then. If one is centered, one will see it. If not, it will see you soon
RIGHTEOUSNESS IS OUR TRUE DEFAULT
Morals is and always will be an interesting subject that really shouldn't exist. We were never meant to know anything outside of the world of doing the right thing. The default doesn't need explanation. the defect does. By contrast, many are redeemed because they can see it for themselves and choose wisely
STAND YOUR GROUND
The moral dilemma is no respecter of persons, gender or specific dynamics. It will trip up anyone every chance it gets. CHOICE VISITS OFTEN
There those that may be saved from the object lesson and skip the misfortune and circumstances that come with it. I would rejoice if that took place because then, it was a word to the wise. Either way, we have a chance to make a point and choose a side...
WHICH CHOICE?
One choice makes us better for doing so and lines up with our destiny and the other choice takes us to a predictable, dissolving, downward spiraling well known path. May we travel the better..always and with confidence not looking back or regretting our stand for character
