Mountain Vista Golf Club and Sun City Palm Desert is about the only part of Palm Desert that is on the northern side of Interstate 10. Most of the city lies south of the interstate. The entire community stretches from Coyote Song Way in the north along Washington Street South to Varner Road and Interstate 10 and East along Adams Street. This is a gated community with several entrances along Adams Street and Washington Street. The primary entrance is on the west side of the community from Washington Street and is easily accessible by Interstate 10.
Sun City Palm Desert is one of the most premier adult active communities in the Coachella Valley. There's over 1600 acres with 5000 homes and over 9000 residents. With numerous amenities, country club without membership fees, low homeowners dues and multiple resort perks. The community has two fitness centers, two golf courses, a putting range and driving range, tennis courts, softball fields, over 60 different chartered clubs and three distinct restaurants.
The community began in 1992 and the Mountain View Clubhouse offers over 77,000 square feet of activities, gathering and meeting rooms, restaurants and more. This is the perfect place for an active adult social life. The Sunset View Clubhouse offers residents and their guests a library, aerobics and dance studio, game rooms and billiards hall. Boulevards, the on-site restaurant, offers great views of the surrounding mountains and services breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
Of course, at the heart of it all are two 18-hold championship golf courses perfect for golfers of any skill level. The homes run in and around the fairways and course and nearly every home has a golf course view. Over the 11 years of construction, there are 40 different floor plans from single family homes and attached townhomes ranging in size from 1000 square feet to over 3,200 square feet. All homes include a two car garage and all are single story.
