Do you need to update the exterior photographs of your homes that are for sale? Yesterday, June 21 was officially the first day of summer. Here in Colorado Springs, the sun is shining. Today’s high is supposed to be 88 degrees. The trees have leaved out. Summer flowers are in full bloom. The grass is green. The sounds of lawn mowers can be heard all around.

However, on May 9, just six weeks ago, I have a picture on my phone that shows snow on the ground. Other pictures in May showed piles of hail. Then there was the rain. Lots and lots and lots of rain. Did I mention the rain? Granted, the rain has been good for the trees, grass and flowers.
As I was flipping through MLS listings, I noted that the exterior pictures of many listings are outdated.
In today’s context – the trees without leaves look dead. Yards with short, brown grass – look neglected. A photograph that depicts a gorgeous snowy winter scene is alright. However, pictures that show a little bit of snow on the ground makes the home look like it has been languishing on the market since last winter.
If necessary, update the exterior photographs.
Sincerely,
