The Most Expensive Home sold in Arizona last week

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Zion Realty

The most expensive home that sold in Arizona last week is the quintessential Arizona luxury home. The traditional Southwest design is full of Santa Fe character. The use of saltillo tile, rustic whole wooden log beams, copper and oil-rubbed bronze fixtures and finishings, and live-edge stone counter-tops shows that the builder knows what it means to use Arizona architectural inspiration. Even down to the way this home is so naturally tucked in to it's desert surroundings as to blend in seemlessly to the landscaping. This home also includes a 500 bottle climate controlled wine room, two separate bar areas for entertaining along with six custom masonry fireplaces. As you would expect with a home of this caliber the views of the surrounding mountains are spectacular. Click on the picture below for the full MLS listing:

Location: Scottsdale

Size: 5,846

Bedrooms: 4

Bathrooms: 5

Lot size: 29,415 sqft

There must be something wrong with me because the only thing I could store in a 500 bottle wine cellar would be my empties. That being said I love this style house Nicole Doty - Gilbert Real Estate Expert and your post is always a highlight each week!

Nicole-What a gorgeous home this is. The views are breathtaking. I am smiling at Paul's comment about the wine cellar because I can't imagine a wine cellar with that many bottles either but since I don't like wine I wouldn't be storing my empties either.

Hi Nicole -- it's always fun(for me - strange, huh?) to read about prices in other areas.   In our area -- that's a lot of house for the money.   Very nice.   I like this series and I think it provides a lot of information especially for buyers relocating from other areas.

Paul - I'd have that thing filled up in a jiffy!

Sharon - If I had the money to afford this home you better believe I'd have the money to fill that wine cellar up and fill it I would!

Scott - Me too! I bet the pictures don't do it justice when it comes to the real live views from the property!

Joan - Those are certainly selling features that would have captured my attention if I was the buyer!

Michael - I love seeing houses in other markets as well. It puts things in perspective what is out there and available in other States.

Grant - If you love Southwestern design and style this was the house for you!

What I found interesting about researching this house on Google, is that the first page of Google showed all the aggregators and never the agent who had the listing on this house.  Either the agent is remiss in promoting this property or the aggregators have made it impossible for her to be found on the first page..  It is a beautiful home, and if that is how it is being marketed, you have a very good chance of making a dent in the luxury market.  A
