Shifting Your Perspective About How To Attract Wealth

One of the biggest requests in topics of discussion clients ask to address when implementing Feng Shui into their home and life is wealth.

What about wealth are you looking to enhance? I will ask. "more money," is 99% of the response I receive.

More money? What does that mean to you? More money to pay bills? To travel, to invest in your business, for your children, perhaps wealth in connection to others for meaningful relationships, what? Many will pause and then say, I never thought of in that way. Essentially when we talk about "wealth" it's not just paper money. When you choose to make a purchase or even pay a bill (house bill for example) you are expressing what you value.

If someone asked me, what do you value Laura? I would respond, I value food, shelter, authentic relationships and travel. How that manifests, I have no expectation, while focusing my attention on, it will always be attracted to me in my best and highest interest.

In fact I experienced this yesterday before providing a Feng Shui Consultation in Long Island NY. I stopped off to grab a quick bite to eat, as I had 30 minutes to spare. I walked into a sandwich shop, placed my order and the gentleman in front of me, said to the cashier, "I will pay for her as well." I was shocked and full of gratitude! He looked at the cashier and then turned to me and said, "it's good to be nice." Paid for his and my meal and left.

This was a great example of how wealth can be manifested into various forms. It comes to you in the form of what you value.

That is fantastic! Our admin once had someone pay for her lunch because she was wearing a volunteer shirt for a local animal shelter. It's good to be nice!

This is an excellent point. Some people don't consider themselves to be wealthy just because of money. What are you using that money for? The biggest thing I value in life is relationships above all else.

Laura- I love your post! We all value different things and it does somehow manifest itself through our thoughts and actions.

So true! I noticed you mentioned relationships. Relationships are so valuable because they are the basis of all human interaction. Since I moved out here to Tucson I have yet to find friends like those back in Massachusetts who "get me." It has truly given me a renewed sense of the value in relationships.

Chris Webb I had the same thing when I moved to DC from Boston.  When I stopped looking for "people like I had in Boston", pop..pop...pop.. all sorts of really neat & wonderful people appeared here in DC.

Laura, I agree, being wealthy with cash without having people around you who love & care....that's not what I see as most important.
