1. San Tan Village Outdoor Mall:

Location: 2218 E. Williams Field Rd Suite 235 Gilbert, AZ 85295

The Splash pad at San Tan Village Outdoor Mall is a great way to have fun this Summer. This covered Splash pad is open daily from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Situated by Dillard's Department store you will also find a great shaded playground area along side of the Splash pad for further playtime activities. You will also find a Dairy Queen just steps away from the Splash Pad and Playground areas for a sweet frozen treat after a hard day of outdoor fun and adventures!

2. The Splash Pad at the Water Tower Plaza:

Location: 45 W Page Avenue Gilbert, AZ 85296

Directly underneath the Famous Downtown Gilbert Water Tower is the Water Tower Park Plaza where you can enjoy the Splash Pad and Spinning Granite Ball Water Feature. The Splash Pad is open all week from 7:00am to 10:00pm with some weather based and seasonal variations such as the Splash pad will turn off automatically when winds reach above 8mph. The Spinning Granite ball feature is a 9.5 ton granite ball that, with the help of a thin layer of water, you can push, spin, and direct where you want it to go!

After the kids get done frolicking in the water there are many great locally owned restaurants in downtown Gilbert to grab a bite and refuel after a hard day of playing in the sun! Get out and enjoy these two wonderful and free outdoor options for kids of all ages this Summer here in the great city of Gilbert, Arizona. You'll be glad that you did!

Nicole, I have no doubt that Gilbert, Arizona splash pads are very popular in the summer, but what really intrigues me is the 9.5 ton granite ball!

Nicole, Fun and free splash pads have to be music to the ears of both the parents and children. Your blog is a very good localism and the local residents should apprecaite the information.

Paul - Yes it's been hovering around the 110 degree mark for a few weeks now!

Sharon - Just another reason I love living here. The city does a lot of great things like this.

David - Well I'm pretty sure you couldn't possibly hurt youself at a splash pad but it you're that injury prone who knows!

Grant - It's even refreshing for the moms to get the kids out of the house and run some of that energy out of them!

Nick - It really does just move effortlessly when you put your hands on it!

Jill - Yes! It's exactly like that! It really brings back the childhood memories watching the kids splash and play!

Bob - Two great words to put together that's for sure!

It's so much fun to watch the kids in splash pads.  One of my favorite videos I have on my phone of little Abby is watching her and her sister run through the splash pad at Desert Ridge.  The Phoenix Zoo's is a nice one and there's a little park near my house that has one. They're a must in the summer, you can only be trapped inside for so long.

Mike - Unfortunately my girls are too old and cool for the splash pads anymore.

Barbara-Jo - It's an absolute must this time of year. If you are going to get out of the house you better be in water or air conditioning!

Lou - Plus, they'll be nice and tired for an afternoon nap to give the parents a break!

Pamela - The granite ball is pretty cool!

It is so fun to see kids play in the water. I love to hear the laughter and the squeals when the water shoots upwards.

Debbie - Often times when we're at the San Tan village mall we'll walk by the splash pad just to watch the kids running around playing. It's quite entertaining.

Vegas Bob - Thanks so much for the feature VB!

James - Oh come on, throw on that swim suit and dive in! You'll love it!

Roger - You've gotta know all the little ways to stay cool during this time of the year or else you'll go insane.

Larry - The splash pads are great. They are just flat surfaces with water jets or sprinklers that pop up in random orders or some just constantly stay on and provide a steady upward spray. They are a lot of fun!

During our 30 years in the valley we were always afraid of swimming pools. We knew a few people who had experienced a loss from drowning. What I didn't realize (until it was too late to take advantage of such info) is how inexpensive it is to have a splash pad installed in one's back yard. It would have been so cool to have taken advantage of that.

Chuck - The neighborhood where we own our rental property has a huge community splash pad instead of a community pool. It's pretty cool.
