It's Too Hot, I Cannot Person Anymore!

It's my first post of the summer to complain about the heat in Atlanta.  It's been over 95 degrees and HUMID for the last 10 or so days with no relief in sight.

Well, that's not quite true...Right outside my window is relief...my swimming pool siTango the Mants mocking me.

Inviting me to partake of the cooling and tranquil waters.

Instead, I was up and working early this morning.  Trying to get a head start on a busy day.

We moved the horse training session up from 2pm to 10am.  It's just too hot in the mid afternoon to work.  Even by 10 it was at least 85 degrees and by the time we finished an abbreviated training all parties were DRIPPING!  The horses got hosed down and rested, eyes closing softly, in front of their fans.

I hopped back into the sweltering car and headed for the MLS store to pick up some new supplies for a weekend open house.

Home for a quick bite to eat and a change of clothes before my 2:30 listing appointment.  Paperwork all signed and the listing will go live by the weekend.

Home to change clothes again!

Now I am taking a moment to write this post before heading out again to get a few flyers copied for the open house on Saturday.

Open house post to come.

How is the weather where you are?  How are you handling it?

It is hot hot hot!  Too hot for golf - even if I had the time!  Going out to take photos of a foreclosure...miserable, for sure.  This is when I tell myself we live in Florida for the other parts of the year but not summer.  Its a trade off!

It is simply miserable.  Like walking around with a wool blanket wrapped around your head.  Oh, and the nasty storms that hit the upper midwest yesterday?  Heading here today, just the cherry on top.

Jenna, it is hot and uncomfortable here especially in the afternoon. The evenings are nice. But it sure is hot here. It's 112-115 Degrees in Phoenix, so..about 105 here in Payson. When I get home I put a wet washcloth in the Freezer, and let it sit in there about 10 minutes. Then, take it out and let it drape around my neck while I work..it's refreshing. You should try it! It helps if you're doing work outside too, to have an icy cloth around your neck.

It's hot and humid up here in Northern VA too.  I'm doing my best to stay indoors.

Jenna it's hot in Phoenix but it's a dry heat so it doesn't feel as hot. I cool off in the pool at night - and in fact it actually feels chilly with the breeze!

Gary L. Waters, Broker Owner Waters Realty of Brevard, LLC I feel you on the foreclosure photos!  When I arrived at the vacant listing this afternoon to sign the papers the A/C was OFF!  I told the seller, sorry, you are going to HAVE TO leave that thing on while the house is on the market.  Nobody wants to stay and look at a HOT house.

Susan Haughton I know it's hot and humid in your neck of the woods too.  Hopefully the rain will cool it off some and you won't get bad weather.

Tamra Lee Ulmer gosh, maybe I will start carrying a cooler full of washcloths in my car.  I could even use one to cool off the steering wheel.  Great idea!

We hit 95 degrees today; but humidity isn't bad!  For the most part I've been handling it ok.  I've been busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest the last few days, but most of my activity has been either in my home office, or in my air conditioned car.

Myrl Jeffcoat That's pretty warm for your neck of the woods, isn't it?  At least you didn't have the humidity to contend with.  Stay busy making hay while the sun shines!

Good morning Jenna. I don't deal well with heat and humidity is intolerable to me. When I find it , I stay cool inside.

I showed in the high humidity on the weekend and after 8 homes I was pretty cranky. Thank goodness for car air conditioning.

It's hot here, but we don't have the humidity, which I can understand the several change of clothes. Sounds like you had a very hot and busy day.
