The Monterey Collection consists of 20 single level condominiums with two bedrooms and two baths. Due to its unique hillside perspective, each of the units has a nice view. They feature fireplaces, balconies and in-unit laundry connections. Parking is in the subterranean garage. The complex is located at 6221 Monterey Road.
Construction at the project began in 2006 but a shift in the local real estate market caused delays in completion. Public records reflect different years of building(2007-2009). The new project closed its final sale in 2011.
The location is adjacent to the city of South Pasadena and located just east of the Arroyo Seco Parkway(110) and convenient to both Hermon Park which features a off-leash dog park, tennis courts and picnic areas as well as Ernest E Debs Regional Park and Audubon Center. There is currently one condo available at The Monterey Collection. With approximately 1520 square feet the unit is offered at $459,000. There has been one mls-reported sale so far in 2015. With approximately 1510 square feet, it sold for $460,000(list price $459,000) in May.
There were three mls-reported closed transactions in 2014. They ranged from $440,000 to $460,000 with an average sales price of $450,667(median sales price $452,000). They sold at 100.60% of last list price and for $300.53 per square foot on average.
For full year 2013 there were two mls-reported sales. Both sold in May, a second floor unit closed for $415,000(list price $430,000) and a third floor unit sold for $436,000(list $429,900).
