WELCOME TO THE DARK SIDE

If you were out early this evening in Minot you may have expected to hear Darth Vader's booming voice welcoming you to the dark side.

The Dark Side

This front rolled in very fast and also exited very fast but not before dumping a lot a rain in a very little area and a whole lot of thunder and lightning. On my way across town I had never seen so many people just gazing up at the sky. Pretty much everybody that I saw outside was awed by this sight.

The whole thing just seemed to say to me "Which side do you want to be on?" I think I will go for "The lighter side".

I think we must be close to a perfect amount of rain here Hannah Williams because I have not heard a single farmer complain... that in itself is a miracle!

When the cloud touches the ground you know the rain is very heavy.

GOOD MORNING BOB!  How long did it last?!  We had this in Tucson couple days ago and it only lasted - maybe a half hour - but it was, well, dark!

You couln't even tell the top of the cloud from the bottom William Feela it was so dark.

Just like uour Gabrielle Kamahele Rhind it only lasted about half an hour and the South end of town got 2.5 inches and the North got a sprinkle.

Call me crazy but I love thunderstorms. The sound they make as they pound the roof and the blue blue skies they leave behind. They're a part of my youth as I spent my high school years in "tornado alley".

The sky looks nasty . . . .

Good luck and success.

I'm with you Chuck Willman I love a good storm.

It dumped 2-1/2 inches of rain on those who were under it Lou Ludwig but fortunately it was a very small area.

That looks scary and one of those skies that means you should get safely indoors.

I had to drive through the dark side to pick my daughter up from school Debbie Reynolds and I wondered if they would let the kids go or make them stay until it was safe. I guess that because there were no tornado warnings they let them go.
