It is offically summer and the kids need to cool down. There are paid attractions that offer water slides, there are ponds and lakes that require a fee. When it comes to kids the attension span doesn't always justify a full days enterence fee... so here are a few of my favorite places to take a dip for free.

Lincoln New Hampshire - the Lady's Bath. enter the Lincoln station Riverfront condo complex bare right and park near the tennis courts. The town of Lincoln was deeded this property to keep the condos from having the liability of the public swimming hole.
Flat rocks to warm your back on.
and easy stairs to take the little ones down

Stapleford Park...Woodstock NH take exit 31 go south on route 175 look for Stapleford park on your left.
wonderful views...a picnic area, and a bridge abutment to jump off if you are an adventurous type.

Woodstock NH - Mirror Lake Public beach
Take exit 30 off I93, head south on route 3 look for mirror lake rd.

Echo Lake... Franconia Notch State Park.
I 93 Becomes the Franconia Notch Parkway north of Lincoln..take exit 3.
The Echo Beach area comes at a small fee but they offer a Bath house, snack bar and access to nice hiking trails from this state park.
