How Can I Use Drones To Market Listings and Sell Faster?

By
Real Estate Agent with Tierra Antigua Realty

Aerial PhotoOver the past six months Real Estate Agents have been asking how they can get in the air to market and sell homes with aerial photography & video.  The market is prime for this technology if used correctly. Just like we tell Buyers, "The person who saw this home yesterday could be writing an offer today. I want you to think about it, but I don't want you to lose out by thinking too long." How many times have you seen Buyers lose an opportunity to buy a home by hesitating. It is no different for us as Real Estate Agents. Your competitor may be thinking the same thing you are and beating you to the market that could have been yours. Many Agents have ask whether they need an Attorney. Here are some facts.

  • You don't need to pay an Attorney thousands of dollars.
  • You do need a Section 333 Exemption with the FAA.
  • You should get $1 million insurance policy.Which you can get afte approval
  • You personally do not have to be a pilot, you can hire one. You "must" have one to operate your UAS. I am not a pilot, and I pay one. Which helps the economy in a small way.
  • There are optimal heights for video/photographs for nearly every home.
  • There are trick to doing aerial video/photos correctly.
  • Aerial photos do attract attention.
  • Aerial photos do show things photographs from the ground, ladder or pole cannot show.
  • Homes with aerial photos/video do get attention.
  • There are some do's and don'ts that most Real Estate Agents do not consider until informed.
  • There are risks if you do not have an exemption and operate uninformed.
  • There are safety and privacy issues to address with every operation.
  • There is a way to win neighbors over to eliminate concerns.
  • Most neighbors love the idea and ask for your business card. Face to face marketing.
  • You can demsonstrate you are an advocate for privacy based on your actions.

I have been doing videos to market homes for years.  I went from marketing $150,000 - $350,00 homes to marketing $600,000 - $1.5 million+ homes by doing what I did. If you are on the fence post, as of date there are over 600 Section 333 approvals on the books. There are 1200 to 1300 waiting to be heard. Without direct knowledge on how to file a petition, your chances are reduced. 10% fail to make it through not because theyased, but becasue they didn't write their petition correctly. With knowledge and some inside information you can be in the air in a much shorter time than others. You can knock up to 30 days off the review process. You just have to know the tricks. I learned some things yesterday in Washington DC, at a UAS Commercialization Conference I spoke at, that will help those wanting to take advantage of aerial photography and video to boost their business. If you want to be the leader of the pack in your market, click here to find out how you can be a leader in your market without spending thousands of dollars on an attorney. I will be sharing the newly attained information to help those who take advantage. I hope to have that added and out to everyone who purchased so far to help them have the edge. As I learn more to benefit you, you will get that information as well.

Here is my first video using aerial video and photography. Sitting on 25 acres selling for $1.5 million. Notice how much of the video is of the home and how much was in the air. Just how I said I would do it.
