Heloc's

I was talking with a friend the other day and she told me that she had just gotten involved with a new program that allows people to do a Heloc through this software program. She said that it would take a 30 year mortgage and reduce it to about 8 years. She didn't explain very well so I am still confused. Does anybody out there know of this program and how it works? If you can take out a Heloc based on the equity of your home, how can you reduce you mortgage from 30 years to 8 years? And does it really work? Is this something new or has it been around for awhile? Since most of my clients pay cash, I am not up to speed on all the different programs out there but I do have lots of friends that have 30 year mortgages. If this is something that really works, I need to learn about it because it will help many people. If anybody knows anything about this program I would love to hear about it.

Well Im not really sure what she is doing either. If you pay double payments on your mortgage I know it can cut the time in half, but throwing the HELOC in there confuses me. You will have to let us know what she means.

It's a "Money Merge Account" or Mortgage Accelerator".

"Watch this seven minute video and it will change your life", "I set my Mother up and all my friends in this!"

My opinion - Run Away.  Like a POA, these are for one particular type of borrower, but instead are marketed to everyone for all the wrong reasons.

She was talking so fast and so excited about this new program, I didn't understand everything she was saying. She said she was going to email me the information but I haven't seen it yet. I'll let you know what I find out.

Mike, I'm confused! Are you saying this is a good thing or a bad thing? I went to your link, where is the video that I should watch?

Sorry, I don't have the video, they do.

I was quoting the standard line they give to their potential clients.

Sometime sarcasm needs to come with warning labels.

A couple of months ago I had a fast talking guy come by my office with the same type of program but you know what momma always said "if it sounds too good to be true, it is"  Besides that I am in the REAL ESTATE business and I vow not to muddy up the water trying to sell something else.
